Michael Abate is a Specialist within Enbridge Gas Inc.’s Distribution Protection group. Utilizing his educational background in engineering, his career at Enbridge has spanned roles in various functions including; engineering, operations, project management and construction. Currently he is focused on supporting the company’s; formal damage prevention management program, process development and improvement activities, and projects to prevent third party damages. Michael is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and is currently undertaking his MBA. He is passionate about challenging operations management projects which provide value and improve safety for both Enbridge Gas Inc., third party excavators, and the public.
