Crossbore Safety

Enbridge Gas Inc. along with Natural Gas Distribution companies across North America have been challenged with addressing the risk corssbores create to our customers and the public at large.  This session will examine how crossbores are created, and what Enbridge is doing to work collaboratively with stakeholders across our franchise area to raise public awareness and mitigate these hazards as much as possible.

Speakers

Steve Cooper has worked in the Energy Industry for over 30 years. Steve has held positions at Enbridge in Operations, Construction, Quality Management, Safety and Damage Prevention. Steve has also worked with numerous external organizations including the Locate Alliance Consortium, Ontario Regional Common Ground Association, Ontario One Call and the Canadian Gas Association. He has received numerous accolades for his accomplishments, most notably the ORCGA Member of the Year Award and the CGA Safety Award for Excellence. Steve’s passion for the Safety of workers, contractors and the public has driven his innovative approach to risk reduction and teamwork.
