Working on the ROW where pipelines are present

Session will discuss the most effective and safest way to work within or near a pipeline ROW. How and who to contact, crossing agreements, locates, setbacks and pre-work planning. Session will also include maps of municipal ROW’s and representatives from all pipeline companies will attend in order to answer questions.


Gretchen Gordon, Senior Lead Liaison, Public Affairs at TC Energy, is responsible for Public Awareness, Community Investment and Community Relations within Ontario.  The Public Awareness department supports operations in increasing knowledge for landowners, contractors and the public with regards to pipelines and pipeline facilities. Gretchen is also an active member of the Ontario Joint Pipeline Group who’s mandate is to decrease unauthorized activity on the right-of-way and provide information on construction across pipeline right-of-way’s under the Canadian Energy Regulator Damage Prevention Regulations. Gretchen has worked in the Oil and Gas industry since 2013 at TC Energy (formerly TransCanada).
